Northgate: Northgate is one of Seattle’s more affordable neighborhoods with a median age of 39, and the region around the mall itself is adding appeal consistently between new houses, stores, and apartment/condo complexes. This area is just a short distance from downtown Seattle but is an active area in its’ own right. There are different pieces to the entire Northgate neighborhood including North College Park, Maple Leaf, Haller Lake, and Pinehurst. Each has a distinct personality, but all maintain a tight knit community feel.
Local Favorites: The Northgate Mall is probably the most well-known attraction, and according to legend (or rumors), it was the country’s first shopping center to be referred to as a mall. Head over there for a day of shopping at plenty of stores or take in a movie at the new movie theater. Outside of the mall area, Northgate still has a ton to see-some notable restaurants include Saffron Grill, Gyro Hut, or Boud’s Pinehurst Pub.
